Hi, Folks. Since many of us by necessity use AT&T based on our
phones, here's a heads-up.
A few days ago, I got a notice that I was using a smartphone (Nokia
E72), and as such, would have to pay an additional $30/month for a
data plan. Since 2004, I've been using such a smartphone (Nokia
6620, Nokia N80ie, Nokia N82, Nokia N79, Nokia N86, etc. Now,
because we have to use smartphones in order to have an accessible
phone, they want to reinvoke what amounts to a "blindness tax". I
called Customer Service and complained. They gave me a 300MB
plan/month. But the it's the principle of the thing to which I object.
So, those of you out there who use AT&T and have smartphones, watch out.
