That will depend on your phone model! You can do this from within the setting of the phone. Look under Settings, Phone, Network and then Network mode. The default on most phones is Dual mode. I use to switch this to GSM. But like I said, my cell provider is getting lax it keeping there stuff working correctly and they have some issues. You can switch this to UMTS that is 3G or 4G depending on how you look at it. Basically this will get it so it only uses UMTS speed and not GSM speed. Talks will read the screen so you will know what you are doing. If you have a cell provider phone direct from the cell provider and or branded to a cell provider! The NETWORK mode may not be on your phone. As a example! Here in the US, AT&T hides this option and you are forced to use Dual mode and cannot change it. However all my Nokia phones that I have gotten over the last 6+ years are unbranded and do have this option. So like I said, depending on the phone model! The NETWORK MODE option may be in a different menu but has always been found some ware in the settings of the phone if it is unbranded.
