I'm still using an old version of talks due to the newer versions
gabbling on when a file was opened in music player. I noticed in the
release notes improvements have been made in this area. I know I
can't update the firmware in the e72 as the symbols list will not be
spoken by talks which was mentioned in the known problems section of
the release notes.
So my question is how does the new version work with the music player
especially when a file is first opened?
At present all is perfect on my handset accept some web pages are
not spoken well. I rarely have multiple calls at the same time so
I'm not concerned re the call waiting info being spoken by the latest
talks. Lastly the talks version 5.20.3 I am using does not work well
with instant messaging on skype as it re reads the first sent message
in a chat session instead of reading the last message from the other person.
So I would update to the latest and last talks version if I gain
improvements both in skype instant messaging and web page accessibility.
I also have a mobilespeak licence and the latest version but as I
never use mobilespeak I doubt upgrading it would be useful I only got
it for when it's maps support was better than talks provided.
So does the latest talks still gabble on in music player and does it
work better with skype instant messaging?
