I like the new call waiting caller ID function in this version of Talks. I
have Talks set to mute all the time. I went into the Automation tab of Talks
and set Talks to speak the caller ID after 20 seconds. This keeps it quiet
while the phone is ringing. Then I went down and change the repete caller ID
after 5 seconds. Now what happens when I'm on a call and another call comes
in! Is I hear the call waiting beep and then about 5 seconds later I then
hear the call waiting caller ID information as long as they are in my
contact list. Also when I'm not on a call and a call comes in! The phone
rings as normal.
I also like the Confrance call screen for private and drop person. Note! You
must have an confrance call going then press Option and then press right
arrow on confrance to see these two selections. Then when you select one of
the two! Talks will then read the name of the person when you arrow up and
down through the list of people on the confrance so you can then select the
person you want. Note! depending on the phon you have, the option may be
called something different.
