Hi, Stephen and Others. Thanks much for all your info.

At this point, i have a few questions:

Which phone between the E72 and E7 is better quality?

Are there any more up-to-date phone that are similar to the N86, and if so, which ones would you recommend?

Since I need to make a purchasing decision today and wil be at work, might it be possible for you to send any replies regarding my queries to my work email address:

mc...@doc.state.ma.us

I will get up on Amazon and buy from there.

Finally, I'm looking for "world phones" that initially use the 850MHZ band, as I have AT&T. Are these phones unlocked?

Thanks much.

You also have the E75 that may work for you! However in saying taht, you can still find N86 and other models on Amazon.com and EBay as well.

Unfortunately, I don't have JAWS. So much for Nokia making things accessible.

On another matter, considering a QUERTY phone. From what I've read, the E72 still has potential. Are there any newer QWERTY phones you'd recommend? Thanks.

You need to use JAWS 13 or later that has the OCR function built into it to have any chance at all on your own to run and use the Nokia Software updater. But even then, it is hit and miss. I've updated 5 or 6 phones this away. From time to time, i've had to run the OCR function 2 or 3 times to get all the information on the screen and to be able to then click the correct button to get the software to work using the Nokia Software updater on the PC.

All options on the table right now, as my N86 is behaving erratically. Also, need good case and beltclip to go with whatever phone I buy.

Also, noticed that upgrading firmware seems somewhat inaccessible given the new Nokia Software Update schemes.--Matthew Chao

Do not know if you would consider qerty phone such as N71, N72, E5 and E6.

So, might as well buy another N86 if available? Any other Nokia phones?--Matthew Chao

C5 is an option but it does not have wi-fi. You wuld only have Internet access and e-mail via your service provider.

Hi, Folks. My N86 seems to be on its way out. Question: Are there any candybar/slider phones more updated than my N86 I might purchase that are unlocked? Or, what more updated phones would anyone recommend? Thanks in advance.
