I decided to by a new card locally and am pleased I did. The person
who does my shopping phoned me from a Dick Smith store in
Australia. She told me the price of a new card was $50. I told her
that was over the top but she explained the sales rep told her it's a
new high speed version. I was a bit concerned it might not be
compatible with my e72 but as dick smith's stores offer a 7 day
money back garantee no questions asked I purchased the card.
I'm pleased to say it is compatible with the e72 and is much
faster. You would think the card is 16 gigs speed wise. Currently I
have about 3000 music tracks and when opening an album or play list
it's almost instant. When a normal 32 gig card is used there are
delays especially if the card contains a lot of data.
I was not aware these high speed memory cards were available and
posted this in case other talks users did not know of these high
speed cards. They are much faster when using them in a card
reader. I copied 13 gigs to the card last night and it did not take
very long compared to the standard 32 gig cards.
