Just a few things to try.
1. Try going into your profiles and checking to make sure that you have your
warning tones turned on.
2. While in the profiles, make sure that you have an message alert tones
set.
3. While in the profile make sure that you have your phone set to RINGING.
4. Try muting Talks with Talks clear and see if your message tones works
then. Talks Clear again will unmute talks.
Note! If you are on a call! You will not get a message alert tone! You will
only get a beep. If you miss this beep! You will not get another alert tone.
If this is an issue! You can download and install RemindMe to then notify
you about missed events like voice mails, text messages, Missed calls etc...

Hi, Folks. I have an N86 that's a great phone. However, I've lately
noticed that I no longer receive voicemail notifications on my phone. I
found out the hard way when someone had told me they'd let a message at my
number. I held down the 1 key, and sure enough, therewas the message.
