It doesn't matter where you place the MP3 files. The phones looks at all drives when loading music into the music player on the phone. So it will pick up ring tones and who knows what else.

One drawback to the music player on the nokia phones is that even if you have your "music" files and your "ring tone" in a seperate file, if they are MP3 files then the player will recognize them. ----- Original Message ----- From: "leonard morris" <lmorris1...@gmail.com>

Subject: [Talks] n86 music player issue

Well I guess talks is saying music player which is the third item down on the music menu. It's hard to understand. (smile) Anyway, here's the issue. I have a folder called music on my memory card on my n86. I place a bunch of music mp3 files and I played it using the music player. No problem there. However, I deleted all the songs in the music folder from the PC and then added new mp3 file songs. but when I go in to the music player to play the new songs the names of the other songs shows up but of course it can not play them because those songs are not there and the new songs don't show and they don't play. It seems to play some ring tones that I have in a folder called ring tones. When I put the memory card back in the PC and look at the music folder all the new mp3 files are there. Hope this makes sense. Any ideas to resolve this issue?
