Leadership

What is leadership? Many people define leadership in different ways, but the
simple answer is right behind you. If you call yourself a leader and turn
around and don't see anyone following you then you are just a person taking a
walk.

This is kind of humorous when you think about it, but the truth of the matter
is that it makes complete sense. Leaders take people from where they are at to
where they need to be. Here is five traits of a awesome leader.

1. Inspirational
A leader inspires the people they lead to do better and produce results. How
many times have you left a meeting feeling inspired about the things talked
about in your meeting? If the answer is often, then more than likely you were
in the presence of a great leader.

2. Visionary
Leaders are able to cast a vision and make it plain with clear instructions on
how to accomplish the task. Have there been times where the fact that a manager
had a high sales goal and laid out a plan for the success of that goal and the
team gravitated to reaching it?

3. Integrity
A leader has high levels of integrity. Who they are when no one is around is
who they are when the spotlight is on them. Do you know the do-gooder that
always does what's right? That's because they have integrity that shows up in
every aspect of their life. Winners have very high standards of integrity.

4. Leading By Example
Those that are or aspire to great leadership lead by doing. Being the first one
to the meeting and the last to leave or being the first one to set foot on the
battle field and the last one to leave the field are examples of those who do
in there abilities to lead.

5. Readers And Networkers
A leader is always reading because they know they must read in order to advance
and grow. Leaders also network and bring alliances to his or her cause. There
is a saying that goes: "five years from now you will be in the same place doing
the same thing except for the books you read and the people you meet"--and this
rings true of great leaders.

The blindness community is in desperate need of leadership that isn't afraid of
change. Will you stand up and lead?

Howdy! My name is Justin Romack, and aside from being a husband to Angela,
daddy to a one-year-old son named Tyson, owner of a digital marketing agency
called Ontempo Ideas, and a drummer and percussionist, I'm thrilled to hop
aboard the Fedora Outlier team as a marketing and branding specialist. As you
are likely well aware, Apple is notorious for creating products that excite and
delight consumers, and in true Apple fashion, I desire to help ensure our
teaching and support do the same for our clients and consumers.

You'll find me across Fedora's social and digital media channels, like Twitter
and Facebook, as well as a voice on our blog and email newsletters. I want our
online channels to be an extension of the teaching we're doing each and every
day, so if you should ever have a question about the website or one of our
social media outposts, please feel free to contact me absolutely anytime
atjus...@fedoraoutlier.com, or find me by following @JustinRomack on Twitter.

Leadership: What Traits Make A Good Leader?

Though February is behind us, and spring is coming up very soon, as the month
ended, I couldn’t help but reflect on the two great leaders of our country
whose birthdays we just celebrated. The question of leadership, and what makes
a good leader, crept into my mind, and I began to explore.
