Dears,
Here in my city, Sao Paulo, Brazil, there's a web page in wich you can check if
your bus is arriving in the bus stop.
When I use internet explorer a a screen reader for windows I'm informed about
the next buses arriving, how long it will take for the bus to come, etc.
But I can't access this web page with talks.
Every time I open the webpage using my e72 the webpage just disapears, like
closing immediatelly.
It's an important web page because it can make us more independent. Some times
we don't have a sighted person to look for the bus we need.
So I think that it's an important subject to discuss here, specially because it
may happen in other cities around the world and still there's a lot of people
using talks. Almost all of my brazilian blind friends use talks and will keep
on using it untill the cell phone breaks and there's no symbiam equipment to
buy anymore.
I see two possible solutions:
1. Talks become able to open that kind of html, or
2. The web page becomes programmed to be read by talks.
The first solution may help more people if the same problem happens in other
cities.
But if it will be too complicated to make talks access this kind of html, I can
try to convince the group that programs this web page to make it accessible to
talks.
So I'd like the oppinion of nuance specialists to say if solution one is
possible. If it's not, I'd like your advice for me to inform the programmers to
make the web site accessible with talks.
I will give the url bellow so that possibly a nuance specialist can tell what
happens in this web page that makes it not accesible with talks.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

The url to check bus positions in Sao Paulo is
http://olhovivo.sptrans.com.br
Here I open, for instance, the link
Santo Amaro
a.. Then I click, for instance, on
BANESPA Centro 1
This way I discover the next buses arriving.

Probably this is an international gps system that can be used in other
countries. I say that because the web page is accessible via Iphone and android.
