I have to say that I disagree here, the iPhone voices are a lot clearer than
any I have so far heard under talks. ok, it is a very different way of doing
things, which can be frustrating to start with, but once that's over, it is
generally fine.
I wonder if talks will work on the 808 PureView?

Subject: [Talks] Nokia confirms 808 PureView was the last Symbian smartphone

Hi all,

Though this mail is not directly related to Talks, message in it has
certainly something to think upon. With the fact that no more Symbian phones
are going to be developed, I was wondering if anyone here has any info about
Talks supporting Windows phones or any such sort of thing. Though
undoubtedlyAndroid is becoming the second bet of VI with the release of JB,
it still lacks the quality with which Talks produces the speach output and
even iPhone doesn't have that clearity and that's why Talks still survives!
and I still love my C5!

With the release of its Q4 financial results, Nokia has officially
confirmed that the Nokia 808 PureView was their last smartphone to be
powered by the Symbian OS.
Stated in the financial report, Nokia confirms that the company will no
longer be developing any phones based on the Symbian operating system.
'During our transition to Windows Phone through 2012, we continued to ship
devices based on Symbian. The Nokia 808 PureView, a device which showcases
our imaging capabilities and which came to market in mid-2012, was the last
Symbian device from Nokia.'
Nokia earnings release today shows that the company managed to sell a total
of 2.2 million Symbian phones during the last quarter, half the number of
Lumia Windows-Phone units shifted in the same period, which is presumably
due to high demand for the camera powerhouse 808 PureView.
