Hi Stephen. Thanks so much for these suggestions. I have checked and I'm afraid no to all of these, all contacts are fine.
However, what I notice now I havwe given the phone back to my wife is that, when someone phones their name comes up but when a text comes in that's when only the number is shown and not the contact name. Any other suggestions most welcome. Sounds like you have the phone numbers entered twice in the contacts. In this case, no name will be displayed. So look to see if the following is true. 1. That you have two contacts with the same information. 2. If you have one contact that has the same number in it twice. 3. If you have two different contact names with the same phone number. Example. Mom and emergency mom both with the same number. In this case nothing will come up when a call come in from that number. The above is true for all three above.
