OK! Hear is something to try on your E52.
1. Press any number so that it is on the screen.
2. Now go into the Talks settings with Talks followed by a long press of
SoftKey1.
3. Press Options.
4. Press select on Application specific settings.
5. Press Options.
6. Press select on Add.
7. Arrow up to Audio Priority and press select.
8. Press Select to change it from 1 to 2.
9. Now press SoftKey2 to exit.
10. If asked to save Press SoftKey1 to save.
11. Press SoftKey2 to now exit the Talks Settings.

At this point, you should be back at the screen where you have a number
showing.

Now try making a call and see if that works better.

Hi Dug
Well that was not necessarily Teresa's problem, on a call and then
freezing. I think it was when she was trying to get around the phone using
Talks and wanting to send messages etc. She is just not very practical
when it comes to things like changing batteries, lifting back off etc but
has enough skill to learn how to send a text. It is very disappointjing
though. I have been on this list for some years now and apart from you
nobody else seems to have ever raised this issue. I thought Teresa was
the one with the problem until today so I had great pleasure telling her
that I now came across someone else who has this very same problem. I do
hope you can sort it somehow. As this is a Talks list, farbeit for me to
mention any other screen reader but I have one in mind you could always
download and try and see if you get on with it any better. I also
understand it is possible to have both screen readers loaded at the same
time. It would not be a screen reader of my choice, I think Talks is
brilliant.

Hi Eleanor

Thanks for that, I have to take the battery out after nearly every call,
gives me the pip.

I had a friend with an E52 and she just could not use it because of how
much it did freeze. Now to be fair she is a lady who say was not capable
of removing the battery and rebooting and had to get her husband or son
to do this for her but in the end she stopped using it as it was so bad.
At the time she had the latest Talks and her phone was bran new. A few
times she sent the phone for repair but they always sent it back saying
there was nothing wrong with it. They did change it once but still the
same problem. She is now very happily using the C5 and E5 with no
problems whatsoever.

Cheers
