Other things you could try on your own. If you are using Talks 5.30.2 and
Eloquence 6.1.126! You could do a Talks followed by a long press of the
clear key. Wait about 2 seconds. This will bring up the TTS list. Now you
can arrow down one time and press select. This will switch to a different
TTS. As a Example only. If you only have US english installed the option
will be!
None,
Eloquence 11KHZ,
Eloquence 16KHZ,
Nokia.
So if you are currehntly on NONE if you press down arrow once, then you will
be on Eloquence 11KHZ. If you are on the 11KHZ one and you press down arrow
then you would be on the 16KHZ and so forth.
Remember! You must press select after pressing down arrow in order to select
the new TTS.
Other questions!
Do you get speech while on a call? Do a Talks followed by Select and see if
Talks reads the screen to you.
Have you tried removing the Sim and the memory cards and starting the phone
without either card in the phone?

Not sure if this will help:
1. Go to Menu, Application and then Talks. See if it will start. If no, in
Talks, press option and select enable talks.
2. After doing above, if still not talking, in Talks control panel, move
to
Speech and check out is there any voice selected.

Hello everyone I was listening to my internet radio and my battery
indicator told me my battery was low, I left the battery completely
drain out and when I put the new battery talks didn't come up after I
restarted my phone, How do I get Talks to restart,. I also tried
reinstalling the current version and the elequence TTS engine and turned
off the phone and restarted the phone and still no response after the
programs were installed. So I went back to a previous version of Talks
and still got the same response any help is appreciated thanks.
