It's been a while since I used it, but DAISY2Go had a DAISYfy option
that let you pull MP3 files into DAISY2Go. Obviously, it didn't give you
all of the navigation options you got from a DAISY file built from
scratch, but you could listen to MP3's in DAISY2Go and take advantage of
features like variable rate.
