Ok, Stephen, it's very important to remind me that the touch screen phones
are changing things a lot.
My ideas are possible only in old models.
Regards and thanks again, Paulo

Keep in mind, on touch screen phones! The volume keys are used to allow you
to move up and down through the menues and tab sheets and between the
different soft keys. So I don't see how they could be used to change the
volume of Talks being they are already being used.
On keypad lock, you can ahve Talks mute itself so you do not get the message
about pressing what ever to unlock.

Hi Sascha,
I see that I haven't explained the idea enough. It's nice that you ask about
it.
If we have the volume buttoms controlling talks volume, it may happen that
you put the cell phone on the pocket and the volume buttom is pressed by
contact with other things in the pocket. That's why they have created the
keyboard locking. When the keyboard is locked sometimes I can hear talks
sayng its instructions to unlock the keyboard. So i think that if we have
the cell phone volume keys changing talks volume, it will not be nice to
have this buttom pressed inadvertdly. So if you want or you need talks
volume to stay the same when the phone is in the pocket or in a purse
touching other things, you could disable this option.
I particularly would prefer to have the cell phone volume buttoms controling
talks volume most of the time, even when the keyboard is locked.
But it's possible that this idea is a little useless. And I still don't know
if the other ideas are possible on phones compatible with talks. Some ideas
depend on others.
Well I hope I could make myself more clear now. But if I couldn't, please
let me know. I'll be gald to try to explain it all again, maybe in a better
way, if it will contribute for talks development.
Kind regards, Paulo

Hi Paulo,
Well, I understood all your feature ideas, but does'nt understand why you're
wanting to change the volume when the keyboard status changes? Please do'nt
take
this personally, but I'm not thinking that's really useful, but you can
teach me.
*smile*
All your other suggestions were wonderful. I hope that they all or some of
them
will be realliced in the next release.
Sascha

Good ideas, Sascha.
I'd like to suggest something else, maybe too complicated for now, but
maybe
simple for the future:
1. Talks could tell us a list of key strokes availabe.
It could tell us jaws general keystrokes and specific keystrokes in an
aplication.
2. When talks is the only sound aplication working, the volume keys could
work to turn talks volume up and down. Sometimes it's important to change
the volume in a simpler way than pressing talks key 5 and talks key 6. In
qwerty keyboards or in slide keyboards it takes a while to find the
correct
keys. Sometimes we are in a place that gets suddenly noisy and we have to
turn talks volume up. The volume keys are often very easy to find in
nokia's
cell phones. There could be an option in talks settings so that we could
also choose to turn volume up and down even when the keyboard is locked.
Sometimes talks volume is comfortable in a noisy place but sudenly the
noise
stops and we have to turn talks volume down the faster we can because in
this new situation that volume became unconfortable.
But if you don't want the volume keys to change talks volume, that's okay.
We could have this option in talks settings. Maybe in audio settings,
something like:
Use volume keys as talks volume?
yes or no.
Change talks volume when keyboard is locked?
yes or no.
Well, thanks in advance for considering our suggestions,
Paulo.

Subject: [Talks] Feature request
Hi,
A feature request for the developers.
Maybe you have another opinion, but I think a feature like seeing a list
of all
available links, buttons, headings and other html elements in the nokia
browser coult be added, as well
as a new feature wich lets you changing the voice always when for
example,
an english word occurs. To understand me better, see "search for
languages" in
the jaws settings center.
Please note that the option label may not be exactly right because i'm
using a
german windows and, as you may guess, a german jaws.
What do you think about this idea? Do you think this is possible?
Sascha
