Sorry Maurice obviously I did not make myself quite clear. I have a Twitter
account and can access Twitter on my phone. I go in to twitter but I do not
know how to send a tweet so I am wondering if anyone on the list can advise
me as to how to a find people I do not know their Twitter address and b how
I write a tweet to that person.

Eleanor, I am far from being an experienced user of Twitter here as
I've
only been on it for a few weeks but this is what I did.
I worked with a sighted colleague incase I encountered any unforseen
problems.
I went onto Twitter.com and went into new accounts.
Then I followed all the instructions and set up my username, Password
and
what I wanted to be called on Twitter. In my c case it is maurice_press.
Now here's where I got into difficulty. I had to type various
characters
and words into a box - I think this is called the "Capcha".
For this I definitely needed a sighted colleague's assistance.
Once this was done, I decided to tick the "Mobiel Phone" box - in other
words I wanted to receive and send tweets using my Nokia E6 rather than
the PC.
All I needed to do was to put in my mobile phone number and then finish
the
signing in process.
As soon as this was done I started receiving tweets much like a Text
message and It is possible to respond to them in the same way.
Now, I then went into Twitter on my phone which was already there in
Applications.
I joined a group and they in turn joined my page.
From there it has expanded.
