just out of interest have you tried disabling wep to see if it will work
with an unsecured connection?

Hi. I have a Pac Mate Omni as well and had no luck using JoikuSpot with
it.
Using it with a laptop or another phone worked fine though. No idea what's
different in the Pac Mate Omni's Wifi card that won't allow me to connect
that way. It's a pain!

spot. I bought Joykuspot and, indeed, it works like a charm.
Unfortunately, the device I wanted to hook up, PAC Mate Omni, will not
work
with the hot spot set up. Freedom Scientific produces the PM, but they

no help at all. I understand that other blind devices may work with the N
86 and Joykuspot.
It is kinda a crap shoot as to whether or not the set up you are
considering
will work. You pays your money and takes your choice.
I must note that the folks at Kurzweil tried to help me. I will also note
that Michael Hingson tried to help, too.
