Hi Jim,
the only way you will permanently stay connected to your wifi is to not exit
out. If you press key 2 to close the web browser, this also closes the session
with the wifi until you open web browser again. The only way is to open your
application and leave it open. So log into skype and once logged in, press and
hold the menu key. You will then get a list of running applications. Arrow to
the standby screen and you can stay that way as long as your battery lasts.
I haven't looked at a long life battery for the N86 as when i last looked,
there wasn't one. I've ended up by buying about 5 of them and cycling through
them. It keeps my phone running at all times.
Hope this helps,
Carla.

Heya folks,

This phone is awesome what it can do but boy oh boy has it got features
galore, I need help on 2 issues at this stage am using the phone a lot
connecting to my wireless lan, I have no problems connecting, do what I need
to do for a short time but where can I go in the features/options to stay
connected permanantly whilst I am at home and close to my network? As it
doesn't seem to stay connected, this is important when I'm trying to use
skype via my wireless lan for example

Also what is the battery model and best battery that gives longlife to
purchase
Cheers,

Jim
