I'll try to answer your questions about the e6.

1. On my N86, when I press the talks Key which doubles
up as the Menu key and hold it down, it tells me which a applications are
open at that time. I don't seem to be able to do this on my E6. Is there a
way?
Actually Maurice it works the same on the E6. Soft key 2 is also the menu key on the e6, but the talks key directly to the left arrow key on the top of the bar is also the talks menu key. If you press talks then press it again and hold it down it will say the open applications. If you have the talks key as another key, that spot on the bar is still a hard key menu key. If you press it and hold it down it'll give you the open apps.

2. What key in conjunction with Talks would I press to hear how many bars I have left and the signal strength. On my N86 its Talks
plus Key 2.

It's always talks plus soft key 2 even on the e6. Press talks and touch the screen where soft key 2 is and it will give you the same info. Sometimes when you touch there after you press talks it only says "read status" If you touch again right away without pressing talks again it'll then give you the info.

3. This isn't totally talks related but, the shop have set up the phone so that when I go into the browser it comes up with Google. What I'd like it to do is come up with Bookmarks as the first page. How can
I change this.
Maurice there's a place to change your default home page. If you erase google and leave it blank it'll default to your bookmarks. But for the life of me I can't tell you where to do this at the moment. I'll hunt for it and get back one that one unless someone can get back to you first.

4. Lastly, When I switch on my E6, the first thing
that always comes up is an annoying front page asking me to sign up to
Ovi and other things. How can I get rid of this for good so that the phone
just boots up normally.
Thanks for all helpe.
This is the way Nokia phones come these days. You have to either check create a new account and follow the prompts, check later or check never or forget about it or something like that. if you don';t tell it to go away by checking that spot it comes up every time you reboot your phone. I had someone help me get rid of it before I even put talks on the phone because it interferes otherwise in putting it on yourself. So I don't know if talks read the places to check or not. If not you'll have to have someone help you check the get rid of you box. Then it won't bother you any more.
