Are you inferring that the priority of an issue should be based solely
on how many people are experiencing it? IMHO, this needs to be based on
several additional factors. Furthermore , when an issue gets resolved
will also depend on how complex the issue is and how much effort there
is needed to resolve it.

I'm not well versed on these issues, since my phone predates all of
these problems, but what are the problems related to email? Is it just
the problems with links and attachments? What are the problems with the
Symbian Anna phones? If for example, you have to decide whether links
and attachments in emails is higher priority than say most of the
advanced functionality (email, web, GPS, ...) of a whole class of newer
phones then I'm not sure what the right decision is.

Also, although fixing the ability to access links and attachments in
emails seems like a relatively easy thing to fix, it may actually
require a substantial rewrite or redesign of Talks. Meanwhile,
supporting Anna may mean just changing some configuration settings. I'm
not sure what it takes to do either, but since we're not the designers
or the developers of Talks, it's impossible for us to guess what's
involved here.

Knowing how many users are effected by a particular bug is an important
piece of information, but it's not the only piece of information needed
to prioritize the work on a particular bug. I agree being able to access
links and attachments in email is important; I agree knowing how many
users are effected is valuable information; I can certainly understand
someone's frustration with the seeming lack of progress on this bug and
I don't begrudge anyone letting Nuance and the Talks developers know how
important this bug is to you and how frustrated you are.
