Thanks, Stephen! You answered all my questions and more. Guess I'll go in another direction. BTW, can totally blind individuals use a touch screen successfully, or are there some areas that are not accessible? Thanks.
Jo

Subject: Re: [Talks] Differences between nokia n95 and N97?

Change the thread subject to better reflect the question.

Well lets start with the N82 is a newer phone then the N95.

The N95* models have a standard number keypad like the N82. 3 by 4. The N97* models have a qwerty keyboard.

The N95* phones are 3rd Edition phones. The N97* models are 5th Edition phones.

The N95* models do not have a touch screen. The N97* models have a touch screen.

Yes Talks works with both phones. N95* models and N97* models.

You can go to the KNFBReader Mobile web site to see a list of supported phones. www.knfbreader.com in saying that, the N95 dash 2, 3 and 4 will work. I don't think the N97* models are supported. But agian the web site given above should answer that for you.

Subject: Re: [Talks] nokia n95 questions

Hi,
I'd like to know the basic differences between the Nokia n95 and the Nokia n97. I know the KNfb Reader works with the n95, but does the KNFB Reader work with the n97? Also, what kind of a keyboard does each have? And, of course, what about Talks? I know that several members of this list use the n95 and it appears to be satisfactory. I currently have a Nokia n82 with Talks 5 and the KNFB Reader, but I'm thinking of getting a new phone. Does either or both of these phones work well with the Reader and Talks? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes the N95 models work very well. It is a Symbian 3rd Edition phone. Keep in mind, there are 4 different models of the N95 at least. Two for the USA market and two for over seas market.

The N95 is my primary phone and has been for about 2.5 years. It has over 5,326 hours of Talk time on it.

The speakers are nice and loud on the dash 2, 3 and 4 models of it. I hear the dash 1 speakers aren't as good, but don't have one to personally test with. The battery on the dash 1 model is also smaller then the other models of it, the same goes for the amount of memory on drive C:.
