For messages, I'd suggest forwarding the message. You'll then be able to select and paste text just like you would any other time you're editing text. I don't have a work around for web pages.
I'd also suggest using a slightly more descriptive subject. You might get more responses from those people who work through their in box and skip over messages with subjects that don't interest them.
