Mike - Select the image, then press soft key 1 for menues, and arrow down to
'rename' and that should be what you need -

Can anyone tell me how to shorten filenames in my gallery. I would like
pictures just to have the date as the filename. At present, before the
date is a very lengthy string of numbers. Approximately 16 numbers before
the start of the actual date.
