I have a E73 Mode, and I have the same issue. it seems that the voice is still 
in 8 kHz, except for quite a few of the consonances. 
All the vowels seem to still be in the 8 kHz format.

Having heard people complain about the new eloquence being scratchy, I
decided to install it on my positively ancient n82, and I completely agree.
Fortunately I use UK English, so don't have to put up with it. The sooner
dealers start telling Nuance about this, the better.
