The whole discussion we've been having about the E6 should tell you
how 'Talks works with symbian anna. the E6 is running Anna. Talks
does work with it, but is limited in some areas. The biggest one is
the web. The web doesn't work at all. So depending how important that
is to you will help you make a decision on whether to invest in a
phone with Anna on it. For me the phone is very workable with other
functions. It reads text messages ok. I use Emoz as a third party
email client and that works while the one that comes with the phone
does not work. The calendar seems to work fine. I've set up some
reoccurring events and that works fine. However you have to touch the
screen to see what events are coming up. It's in the same place all
the time though so that's no big deal. The screen is a touch screen
and is very sensative. The soft keys- 1 and 2 are touch, not physical
keys. They are in the usual position though so are easy to get used
to. The phone has the traditional arrow keys that form a square
around the center select key. They work like usual. It has 4 buttons
two on either side of the arrow keys. 3 of which are the "one touch"
keys like on the e72. they are easy to program and work fine. The
fourth button is the Talks/menu key. You can edit the home screen,
but it takes some practice. If anyone gets the phone and wants me to
assist off list, I'd be happy to do that, but I'm not going to go
into it here. I've labled some icons on the screen using the
talks graphics labler. Again it takes some work and trial and error.
So again if you don't want to mess with that- take that into
consideration before buying the phone. So I've made the phone very
usable for me, but it took some effort. However I enjoy that sort of
challenge. If you don't I'd wait and see what the next Talks release
makes easier. It's a great phone. In my opinion probably one of the
best combination touch/qwerty keyboard phones. Because the phone
doesn't need to be turned to use the keyboard, the touch screen is
actually usable by us. The icons and what you put on the screen stay
in the same places so you can use the screen very productively.
Some of the tried and true programs that many of us like work and
some don't. I put moble weather on the phone and used the object
viewer to set it up just like I did on other phones. That all works
fine. Oh, I haven't said that daisy2go doesn't work. That is an
issue. I hope the update fixes daisy2go. It loads ok, but it only
reads the beginning of the book over and over. I can't get it to go
on. BRead also doesn't load. I like Time Bar and I can't get it to
load either. It's interesting that I can get some programs to install
around the expired certificate issue by changing the date, but not
others. I put YBrowser on the phone and it works fine. I also put
Remind me on the phone and it works fine.
So that's as much help as I can be at this time about what Talks will
do with symbian Anna on the E6 at least. I've tried to give the good
and the bad. Each will have to decide for themselves whether they
want to take on the challenges or wait to see what Nuance does.
I've said all of this or most of it in previous messages. I am
willing to help out, but I'm not going to go into all this detail any
more on the list unless it's something we haven't covered.

Anna is the one of the latest versions of the symbian software that is being
put on phones. I believe at least some of the things should work with talks
but I will not guareentee that everything will work or work the way your
used to. This may be better in a newer version of talks but that will not be
known until a new version is released. No I have no idea when that will be.

It says here on the nokia website.
Software platform and user interface
Symbian Anna
Java Runtime 2.2 for Symbian
What does that mean in the talks context? To be more direct, will it run
talks and zooms?

Thanks. So then it's probable the bluetooth used by the remote controller
for the hearing aids is the older bluetooth.
