Cannot help then Adrian, I thought one could not download hotmail e-mail
accounts without paying a subscription in any case. I do not use the Nokia
e-mail in any case. Not much use as a phone if one is travelling around
Europe if one cannot access one's e-mail then. There must be a way around
it. An alternative is to use the Internet to access your hotmail.

Hi Eleanor
I have a gmail account but won't put that one on the phone,
just my hotmail account. I think the problem is because I am
in France, the phone was purchased in the uk and it is
trying to access nokia uk. Is there anyway I can phone nokia
and asked them for help and perhaps get the phone to change
to nokia France? It is possibly easy for you as it would be
for me if I was in the uk.
Regards
Adrien

Is it a G mail account? I certainly have no problems with my
BT or G mail accounts on C5.

Hi
I have a nokia c5, I purchased it in the UK last year but I
live in France. I have been trying to set-up a e-mail
account on the phone but it keeps failing. I know I put in
the correct password etc but it gets as far as validating
the e-mail address and looking for account settings but goes
no further. What am I doing wrong? Is it possible because it
is trying to access the nokia uk site because the phone is
registered with nokia UK and not nokia France? If so, how do
I correct this? Is it possible for me to setup the account
using the pc suite? Would this be easier? I have noticed
that anything that requires access to nokia is difficult. Is
this a geographic problem? Is it possible that I can make
the phone access nokia France instead of the nokia uk site?
One other thing, I have a my nokia account which I setup on
the pc, I have just been on the my nokia mobile website on
my phone, I can't see anywhere to log-in, just setup an
account and unsubscribe, what am I missing?
Regards
Adrien
