Yes the left and right arrows should work if the volume buttons do not. Have 
you tried turning off and on your phone after you have installed the version of 
Talks that you are running. Remember if you didn't install 5.20.3 you do not 
have the latest version. Also do you have Talks set to mute while on a call or 
not? Lastly did you check to see if you are on the screen where it shows who 
you are talking to? Another words not in some other program like the music 
player.

Maurice, I believe you should also be able to use the up and down arrow
below the screen. Unfortunately my n86 is being mended at the moment so
I can't check whether it works on mine.

I've just noticed a bit of a strange anomaly  since updating talks on my
N86.

 When I am on a call,  the volume buttons will not increase or decrease
the volume of the person speaking.
This always used to work with Talks installed.

It works fine on my E7.

 Any ideas.
