What update Andrew? Let me give you an example, I have an e72 and I updated
everything. ?This included the e-mail client. Then I could not access the
e-mail with Talks so I removed it and all is well. However, other firmware
was updated on the phone. There was another non essential update called gig
zone so I ignored it too. It usualy tells you if it is an essential or
non-essential update. One other thing, maybe you can tell us what your
current firmware on the C5 is.

Forgive me if hte subject has already been discussed but I've been unable
to follow the group discussion for a while.
I've just been notified by my Nokkia C5 operating system that there is an
"essential" update available. I'm a bit concerned whether to install it
should Talks not be compatible with it yet. Has anyone in the group who
has Nokia C5 installed this update yet?
