After selection text, you can do a Talks long down arrow to read theselected text Caleb Eee.

In your case LMorris, Do you have T9 turned on? Are you doing a shortpress of the Star or a long press of it? It needs to be a short press ofit.

Thanks for confirming that the way I posted does work for you as well.Thisway will work for any phone that has a number keypad and doesn't have aEDITkey. The UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT arrows can all be used when marking textwhileholding the Hash/Pound/Number key. This will work on the N82, N86, E66andother Symbian 9.2/9.3 phones that do not have a EDIT key and have astandard

number keypad. Including the E52.

The key being here is EDITING text. This means you must be in a placewhereyou can add/delete/change the existing text in a message be it EMail,text

message.

steps to reproduce:
1. open any message.
2. make it as forward.
3. navigate to the starting point, hold hashKey and arrow left/right to
select the items.
4. press starkey and choose copy/cut.

Yes you can Cut, Copy and Paste! You first must be in a EDIT field. This

heams you must be able to type in text. Then you would press and HOLDthe

Number/Hash/Pound key and at the same time use the arrows to mark the
text.
When done marking the text! Then release the Number/Hash/Pound key. Now

press the Star and release it! You will now be given a list of thingsyoucan do with the marked text. IE Copy. Then after you have selectedeither

Cut or Copy! Then go to where you want to paste the text and press the
Star
and release it. Arrow down to Paste and select it! The text will then be
pasted.

Note! ignore what Talks is telling you when marking text. As far as itmay

tell you Uppercase and the like while you are holding the
Pound/Hash/Number
key.

IT depends. Sometimes you can press soft key 1 and yo umight find inone

the sub menus of an option the option to copy. Also sometimes, at least
with
my N85, in edit fields if you press the * key and then arrow down you

find an option to copy. I think there may be another way but I can't
remember how to do it.
