Why  would you want to make the arrow keys inactive? How would you navagat 
without them? Sorry if the answer is obvious. Might you be referring to the 
standby screen being basic so that the icons are not on it? If yes then this is 
possible on the C 5 as I have mine set so that there are no icons on an active 
standby. Mine is basic so that I can then use the arrow keys as short-cuts of 
my choice.

Hello,

I am trying to help a friend of mine who has recently purchased a Nokia c5.
I myself use the Nokia N82 and if I want to make the left right up and down 
arrows inactive I  just have to arrow up in the short cut menu and choose off.

but the Nokia c5 doesn't seem to have that feature, maybe I am looking in the 
wrong place.
