What wasn't so great with the phone version, for paying? I know the sign-up is fine, as I did that on my E72 no problem.

Thanks.

No Fi, I haven't yet.

I can say that it is accessible though.

I looked at the site with my mobile and on the PC. I'd say the mobile
experience was a bit clunky but, accessible.

The PC experience is better for sure.

So you just go to the page to pay and you are asked for the usual
name, address, email etc. Then next page is card details.

Definitely a service worth paying for. If you subscribe to DropBox
extra space, you pay an additional 10% separately to Dropdav. They
charge every three months to keep admin costs down.

Awesome all round.

Cheers.

Hi Paul. I'm so glad you got it working, as I know how much you wanted this
service on your phone.

So did you actually pay them by card then? Only asking, as I'm wondering how
accessible that part is.

I'm still really excited about it!

Hi Fi

This is in deed awesome.

I have set up the facility on my N86 and it looks and feels just like
one of your memory cards or phone memory.

The steps Fi has included are easy enough.

You only have to pay for the service if you have purchased additional
dropbox space (which I have).

Even so, you get 14 days to try the service.

Payment steps are easy enough although, they don't appear to have the
ability to pay via paypal. I have written to clarify whether it is
available as it is the only thing missing from an otherwise perfect
service.

Oh, and I also made sure I told them how great it was that their
service was so accessible.

I'll keep you posted as to their response.

Thanks to the lovely Fi for bringing us DropBox users new hope!

Hi all. I have tried this, and it works, and is accessible. Woohoo! Not
sure
how easy it is to pay them though, which is necessary if you pay for
Dropbox
storage.

Below are the easy instructions, taken from

Enjoy!

Reminder: Bring Dropbox to your Symbian Device in 5 easy Steps!

Lately I've seen a lot of people complaining about the lack of a
dedicated
Dropbox Application for
Symbian.
Sure it would be nice to have one, as the apps on both,
Android
and iOS are really well done. but it seems most people don't know that
you
can have a much much better way to browse your files on Symbian than the
mobile
web app. What better than having Dropbox integrated directly into the
Filemanager? It's easy, it's free (if you have a free Dropbox account)
and
its very
fast to setup! And here's how its done:

1. Visit
dropdav.com
and sign up - you just enter your dropbox credentials and that's it! This
is
free if you have a free Dropbox account, but will cost you a monthly fee
if
you have 50 or 100GB running. In case you are interested how this works,
here's a bit from dropdav's website:

block quote
DropDAV is a translator. It seamlessly translates communication between
your
WebDAV client, over the WebDAV standard, and Dropbox, via the powerful
Dropbox

API.
Note: Dropbox imposes a file upload limit of 300 MB. Bigger files must be
uploaded using the Dropbox Application.

block quote end

2. Grab your Symbian Phone (this even works with older ones!) and open
the
built-in file manager

SymbianDropbox1

3. Hit options - map new drive

SymbianDropbox2

4. In the following screen enter as follows:

Name: anything you like
Address: https://dav.dropdav.com
Access Point: choose your prefered setting
Username: your dropbox username
Password: your dropbox password

SymbianDropbox3

5. Done! Your dropbox access is now setup and should look like this!

SymbianDropbox4

You can now enter Dropbox, hit options and connect. your content will now
be
shown and you can start using the content, f.e. downloading it via "copy
into
folder"
