First the key presses work the same with the other screen reader as they do
with talks, the only difference is the function of the sequence. e.g. talks
key followed by soft key 2 gives you battery level, etc while with the other
screen reader command key followed by soft key 1 does this. No you can not
make any key the talks key, only those that are listed in that option and
only if your phone has that key.

Subject: [Talks] Talks key questions

Denice and others,
i'm glad I've found someone else who uses this phone, that's awesome. I
figured out what my problem was. I was pressing the bluetooth key. It's the
third one from the left edge of the phone, on the bottom row. The phone says
"Talks," when I press this key. I was holding the key down too long while
trying to get Talks to work. I was not pressing Talks, letting off of it,
and pressing the other key. I was trying to press them both at the same
time. This toggles my bluetooth on and off. If I press the Talks key then
the next key, the Talks key functions as it's supposed to. I love all these
other keys too. I've been fiddling around and figuring out how to change the
volume of Talks and all sorts of stuff, without having to go into the Talks
controls, now that I understand how this works. With Mobile Speak, i had to
press the command key then the other key at the same time. So, I was trying
to duplicate this with Talks and that was what I was doing incorrectly. Is
it possible to reassign the Talks key to be any key I want? I've only seen a
few choices for what the Talks key can be. Just curious. Thanks for your
help,
Dawnielle
