For the most part yes. There are a couple of functions like the
option keys that are quicker if you use the touch screen rather than
the volume rocker key. However, the qwerty key has arrow keys, an
enter key and delete key which allows you to operate the phone and
move around the stand by screen with your app short cuts on it. I use
a combo of both that works pretty well.I've put a couple of small
dots on the touch screen for quicker navigation.
