I did not think it would but some people believed this problem was exclusive
to the e72 when I was dead certain other handsets now have this problem. I
needed to enter a _ character yesterday and it took about 12 attempts using
the symbol list as I was sure it was not far from the ) sign in the list.

can you access your symbol punctuation list on the e5. I used to be able
to but following a firmware update on the e72 we can't. fortunately
some symbols can be accessed in other ways.
