Well if you use the built in firmware check on the phone, Talks will read
that screen. In saying that, being that is a older phone! Nokia is putting
out fewer and fewer updates for older phones! So will there be a update for
the N79 will depend on the firmware on it to start with.
Myself, I use the Nokia Software program on the PC to do my firmware udpates
being I get a lot more information from it over what is on the phone. The
phone goes quiet and you get no status information of what if anything is
going on. You'll just have to sit back and wait and hope for the best if you
do it on the phone. Like I said, wants it starts, all screen reader
functions stop as far as when the udpate is started.
