Well first of all, your N82 will never play the AT&T flying bars! The Reason
why is AT&T never sold the N82. So that is why it will not play that. The
Nokia N82 will play the Nokia startup tone as long as you are not in the
silant profile. So try tapping the power button and then arrow down to
normal and press Select to switch to the normal profile. then turn off and
on your phone and see if the Nokia startup tone plays.
