KITT
Sorry, I can't help you with what one to press select on as far as
assigning
the role to. Are you sure that you can not use the arrow keys to move up
and
down through the chat window in IM messages?
Oh! for other people who are having trouble with downloading Skype on
there
phone like on the E72! You can now do it from the blind sea web site under
the 3rd Edition software area. The Skype.zip file has been updated with
the
latest version of Skype for both 3rd and 5th Edition phones. The Skype zip
file also has the Talks icon file in it and it has been tested on a N95
and
N86, so hopefully it will also work on other phones as well. Just make
sure
that you put the icon file in the correct place and then turn off and on
your phone so that Talks picks up the file. There has also been a link
that
will take you to the Skype Mobile download page if you want to get it that
away. So check out the Skype information on Blind Sea under the 3rd
Edition
software link.

Hi Steven,
I am lost after pressing softkey-1.
You ask me to move down and hopefully find the chat in one string.
There are 51 items. Yes, In between here and there I could hear some
numbers spoken with my text chat behind it.
But what must I do? Which one must I press select on?
Thanks,
KITT.

Well Kit being I do not have any IM messages on Skype on the phone! I can
not give you step by step instructions and only can give you a ruff idea.
You would go to the IM message screen whare you can see the IM messages.
Then you would do a Talks long Select to bring up the object viewer.
Now you would press SoftKey1 to show extra details.
Answer YES to the Talks question.
Now arrow down the screen until you see all the messages hopefully in one
string.
Now press Select.
Arrow up to role and press Select.
Now arrow down to one of the fields you want to assign the message text
to
and press select.
Now you may need to press SoftKey2 to EXIT the object viewer.
Hopefully this will help you make it better to be able to read IM message
in
Skype on the phone with Talks.

Hi Steven,
How do I use the object viewer to define in msg? I need help on that
please. And if this is done, will it make the reading of msgs better?
As
of now, only last msg could be read by Talks but the sighted could see
it
on screen all prev. msgs.
How to solve this please?
Thanks,
KITT.

Yes Kit some of the icons can be the same. I have 2 extra icons that you
do
not have.
Online, Offline, Away, Do Not Disturb, Offline with Voicemail and No
information from. Making it for a total of 6 icons. I have also labled
the
Subtitle icon so when you arrow to the left and right! It reads the
tabs.
Contact, Instant messages, Dial number, History and My Info.
On the Instant messages tab, you may need to use the object viewer to
define
the area so that Talks reads the Instant message better. You would use
the
Role function to assign something here. Just a thought.

Hi Steven,
Did you managed to label all the icons for status? I labeled Online,
Offline, Away and Do Not Disturb successfully. But when it comes to
Skype
me and Not Available, it cannot be labeled. Not available seems to
appear
as Away and Skype Me as Online. If I re label it, it will change all
online to Skype Me. Also happens to Away and Not available. Can the
icon
be the same?
Did you managed to labeled Steven? Pls advice.
Thanks,
KITT.

Some of you may already know this. But i just found out. There was a
new
version of Skype released for the Symbian phones this month. It is
version
1.5. I downloaded it and installed it. The only thing i noticed off the
bat was the icons are different. So i define them on my phone. I
haven't
tried making any calls as of yet. You can get this by going to
www.skype.com/m then when the page comes up select the loading link.
Produced on a Nokia N95 smart phone using a Symbian based screen
reader.
