Hi Alex,

In fact, all those shortcut mentioned in some of the article |I have read,
it's not by MS but rather in the OVI maps program itself, example, 2 to
save, 4 repeat and so on while navigating. I have been using Talks with OVI
maps with no problem. Only need to memorize few menus and others are ok to
go with Talks.

I have also asked for feed back from MS users whether they could read the
main menu with no problem or still need to memorize it.

Yes, Loadstone, an excellent free program. Yes, of course, data wise, you
have to do it yourself or obtain it from their database. But when you talk
about the history WayFinder, , is the same, due to not many people using in
my country, also no proper maps, so, no complain for that matter, loadstone
is the best for me. I have been using it and helping me greatly especially
when I travel daily with no sighted help.

Regards,
KITT.

Subject: [Talks] latest message from talknav regarding gps solutions.

Hi.
I just got a message from talknav regarding accessible gps solutions.

I understand full well they are a business and should promote there own
products, and are doing so by mentioning the fact they sell a range of
code factory products.
However, I do think there message is slightly misleading,
in that it says
"as you'll have been aware from the recent demise of Wayfinder Access,
users of the Symbian operating system have recently lost their only
accessible GPS option on their Nokia phones."

only accessible option?
what about loadstone?
OK, I will admit loadstone isn't exactly a full gps solution as you have
to provide it with data, never the less, it is an alternative free
option for symbian, as both the options talknav are suggesting would
require spending money either to by a copy of mobile speak to access ovi
maps, or to buy a windows mobile device to use mobile geo.
Whereas loadstone is free, and works with existing versions of talks,
and once it is provided with data it can work as an accessible solution.
