Hi list.
Guess what I was looking into how to get ovi store to work with my e90,
and a forum post said that ovi store application could be installed from
the downloads option on my nokia e90, which was totally accessible, and
was a predecessor to ovi store, which has now completely replaced it.
Guess what, I installed ovi store, as I was prompted to update,
and I found the application is completely inaccessible with talks,
not only does it force you to connect to the internet when you load it,
meaning you can't do off line searches like you could before with the
old downloads app, because the catalogue was downloaded to your phone,
but even worse, the application is unusable with talks,
you get no indication when the store has finished establishing an
internet connection, so you have to keep going into the options menu to
see if the search option has come up,
but then even worse when you are connected, and you go into search, you
can enter a search term, but you get no feedback from talks regarding
the status of the search, and I can't see how to no when it is complete,
or how you would get to your results list.
Over all I am thoroughly disgusted, with nokia, yet again accessibility
is sacrificed on the alter of progress, and I would bet my life there is
no way for me to revert back to the old application.
Do the talks developers have any plans to look into accessibility of the
ovi store application?
As I assume that if its inaccessible for me it will be for everyone.
If they need testers to test fixes I am ready and willing to volunteer
my services.
I think this is an extremely important issue that should be looked into,
as ovi store seems to be a very important way of distributing
applications now.
