Yes you can use your pc to edit those files.
When you connect your phone to your pc via a USB cable, the phone will come
up with some options.
Select mass storage mode, then either through my computer, or windows
explora you can copy the files to the pc or from the pc to your phone.
If you click on anyone of those files in the contact lists, i believe you
can edit them in Outlook or Outlook Express.

I have looked on my Nokia N95 and there is a folder called contacts.
There are many .VCF files in here.
Am I able to use my PC to edit these files and their contents, to tidy
