Hi, No it doesn't appear to be in demo mode. I went to Apts Manager and to me it sounds like the phone is running Talks 4.10 and Eloquence 6.0117. I've been searching and what I've learned is that I'm not as familiar with the phone as I should be. I, too, have a Nokia n82 and by following these suggestions, I'm really learning quite a bit. I really appreciate everyone's input. Thanks.

Hello Jo,

I have been thinking about your situation today, and I think I have a
theory. But first, let me ask you a question, did talks on that phone
revert to ten minute mode? That is, if you leave the phone on with the
Nokia TTS voice, will talks complain after ten minutes about the demo mode?
We'll chat in the morning.

Best regards,

Edward

In Apts manager, I found that Talks Core and Eloquence are both installed.
This is my son's phone, so I'm not sure what version of either is running.
It's pretty difficult to understand the TTS voice. Now I'm baffled as to my next step. I think this phone is running the latest version of Talks before
version 5. How can I determine what version of Eloquence it's running?
Thanks.

Before yo ugo and reinstall talks first try pressing select on where
it says no speech and arrow through the choices and if it is there
then press select to choose it. Also go into the app manager and see
if eloquence is there in that list and if it says installed. What
version of talks are you running?
If eloquence is there what version of eloquence is it?

Hi List, Thanks to all who responded to my email. I think Edward has
zeroed in on the problem. I did what you suggested and found that
probably Talks is not working with Eloquence. At the TTS options, it
indicates no speech.
Eloquence is no where to be found. I wish I knew what exactly my son
did for this problem to have been created. It's been so long since
I've installed Eloquence, I know it will probably all return in a
flash when I begin the process. Will the license info be needed?
Again, thanks for your help.

Hello Jo,

I think that talks is working here. I don't think that he can use
the default Nokia tts with out Talks. I think what you are saying
here is that Talks is no longer working with Eloquence, but Talks is
still working. To correct this behavior, navigate to

1 the talks interface by pressing talks plus long
key1
2 By doing this, if you land on the zooms tab, right arrow to the
speech tab
3 At the speech tab, do nothing more with your arrow keys, just press
the select key, this will open the TTS options,
4 At the TTS options, arrow either upor down with your arrow key
until you select Eloquence, and press select. If Eloquence is not on
this short menu, then reinstall it.

Hi List,
My son has a Nokia n82 and for some reason, Talks is no longer
functioning.
He's now working with the TTS function. What might have caused this and
what
must he do to restore Talks? Any suggestions and help will be much
appreciated. Thanks.
Jo
