Thanks for advice - I will try it. Re whether this is on topic for this list I would suggest that this, and other issues, remain issues for Talks support through this list as one particular handicap for Talks Users, is that help files on this N 86 phone are not accessible, placing a significant obstacle to new users of the device who are visually impaired. It is virtually impossible to tell if the barrier is Talks related or not to begin with.
It could be argued that the advice I managed to get together on the FM transmitter yesterday was not technically Talks related, but several have emailed me to thank me for the information as it has made the radio accessible for them. Well David someone else may come up with a different suggestion for you but here is mine. Make your own contact details business card, i.e. your home number, work number, mobile and e-mail contacts. Then it is there in the Contacts and off you go send your business card to all your contacts. You ask as though this is a Talks question which to my mind it is not. That is no criticism, I am merely wondering by what you are saying about not finding your phone number etc, is this something a sighted person can do then on their phone? If yes, fair enough wanting to know how you access the information using Talks. I may be wrong but I think you said you have just started using a phone with Talks. Presumably you do know your own mobile number, that would have been given to you when you got your SIM. This may sound stupid but I have been in a position of not knowing my new number when I've gone and got a new SIM so what I've done there is from my mobile phone my home number and then I did 1471 and got the number from there.
