Awesome work, I like both of these and hope they make it onto the OSM wiki! :)
Of course, this gets me thinking again about unifying OSM and wiki accounts and how we could get closer to that goal by disabling "regular" account creation on the wiki after your extension is installed. But I like that installing it immediately offers tangible benefits regardless of any such extra steps.
