Suite à une news sur Linuxfr.org [1], j'ai découvert un projet sympathique qui est de faire voyager un Tux en peluche autour du monde et au final chez Linus Torvalds. Ça a l'air d'être des Français derrière tout ça et ils utilisent une carte pour définir le parcours de la peluche... ...et comme toujours c'est du Google Maps !
Sur le forum, un admin explique : --- I'm working on a Google Map for some good reasons : First, Google Map API is very powerful and allow many possibilites, like markers, lines, icons etc... Then, it uses XML parsing to display users, and with an SQL Database, that's easy & fast. And a stupid comment to finish : Google Maps design is more intuitve and nicer than OpenStreetMap. But if OpenStreetMap can do all of that, and with your help, i'll be using it ^^.
