Tobias, Hm, I am not quite sure about the name being support. Not because it would be worse, on the contrary, it is most assuredly better. Only because we already have a key `support=*` so widely used. Making this relation support as well would mean `support` in OpenStreetMap can mean a tag placed on a node|way|relation, a relation type, and a relation role. I imagine this will cause confusion at best, innocent incorrect tagging at worst. Perhaps pole or post instead to differentiate the relation syntax from the tag? Then again, we have that as a well-established value already for `support=*`.
Can we think of another word in OSM that serves these multiple roles / meanings / uses? I am coming up blank. Maybe this is nothing but to me seems like a issue waiting to happen. > I like the idea of an optional member with a "support" role. :) I think I would much rather support (haha) this, where `support` is for a key on a node|way|relation, as well as a relationship role, as then they are at least referring to the same element, the support of the members of the relation or elements singularly. As always, open to feedback and appreciate everyone's thoughts here! -- GA_Kevin (everywhere) _______________________________________________ Tagging mailing list Tagging@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging
