In Sweden, there are legally two types of crossing between a cycle path a
and a road (or three, if you count the large number having no marking):
"cykelpassage" is where the cycle path users have to yield to traffic (of
any kind) on the road. And some other minor rules. It has separate
markings, and is distict from when a cycle pathds crosses a road without
marking (which is somewhat stangely interpreted by some at the authorities
as no cycle path crossing).
"cykelöverfart" has signage with a sign similar to pedestrian crossing,
and traffic on the road has to yield to cyclists crossing.
Official information (in Swedish):
https://www.transportstyrelsen.se/sv/vagtrafik/Trafikregler/Generella-trafikregler/Cykeloverfart/
Currently, no distinction between the two or three classes seems to be
mapped in Sweden. Should I use cycleway=crossing for both kinds, or just
for the priority crossings even if both have a specific legal status?
Or is there some tag to specifically mark a priority cycle crossing?
(other countries, like the Netherlands, seems to, rather more sensible,
use reglular yield and stop signs for road users at a priority cycle crossing).
thanks in advance!
