There is also the slightly derogatory term 'cellotaph' for a memorial of flowers in cellophane wrapper, with a memorial card. Whilst temporary in construction, they are often replaced/refreshed annually. In the UK they are tied to lampposts, fences, walls, etc. at the site of a collision.
