Indeed - but if you actually read the links there you'll see Bill Bryson's comment on that very page ("In different regions they go by different names..."). He's someone who's studied the origin of the language in both the UK and the US. The word "holloway" is pretty archaic, appearing now only in some placenames (I gave an example in Derbyshire) but isn't widely used as a descriptive term.
