tag each pitch;
the cricket pitch is usually circular and tagged sport=cricket,seasonal=summer
the soccer pitch is rectangular, overlays the cricket pitch and is tagged
sport=soccer, seasonal=summer
BUT
what to do if I'm lazy or the pitches are indistinct and a only have one
way/pitch to tag .. but want to include the seasonal information? Even
opening_hours if there are known dates cannot be used on dual tag for the same
way.
rather than overlapping ways you could use a multipoligon relation to reuse the
geometry, but I guess it could be better to have just one pitch in this case
and use the conditional tagging concept for the sports tag:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Conditional_restrictions
sport:conditional=soccer @ summer
etc.
(not very likely to be rendered any soon though)
Stefanos' tagging would still render ..
just not the conditionally tagged sport at the moment.
leisure=swimming_pool
sport=swimming
leisure:conditional=pitch@(Nov-Apr)
sport:conditional=soccer@(Nov-Apr)
It is rather unusual, at least in my part of the world,
to have a swimming pool that converts into a soccer pitch ... some convert
into ice rinks.
Mine are cricket to some form of football, so all pitches.
